Heading to Israel, the West Bank, or the Gaza Strip? You’ll find that the Type H outlet is the standard there.
This outlet is designed for a three-pronged, grounded plug with three round pins arranged in a triangular pattern.
Features of Type H
Outlet Type H outlets are unique because they’re compatible with Type C plugs. Before 1989, this wasn’t the case, as the plugs had flat pins. Now, they’ve been updated to round pins.
Both flat and round pins can be connected to the Type H outlet.

Dimensions
The pins of a Type H plug have a standard diameter of 4.5 millimeters and a length of 19 millimeters. The distance between the two outer pins is 19 millimeters.
Using Type H Plug
Type H outlets are specifically designed for Type H plugs, but they also accommodate Type C plugs after the 1989 modifications.
Using Type E and F plugs is not recommended, as they often need to be forced in and do not provide a ground connection.
You’ll only encounter Type H outlets in countries like Israel and Palestine. For a complete list of all countries and their respective plugs and outlets, you can use the search function (top right) on this website.
